An intervention
Dr: So, Kate, tell us about this stole you're making...
KG: I making a stole to wear for my wedding.
Dr: Oh that's wonderful. When is it?
KG: In 20 days.
Dr: Are you almost done with it?
KG: Well, I have worked 14 repeats.
Dr: Out of...?
KG: 17.
Dr: Only 3 repeats to work in 20 days. That shouldn't be a problem, should it?
KG: Well, actually, each repeat is 32 rows and then there is the edge... and I leave for Scotland in 10 days... and I still don't have shoes, a photographer, flowers...
Dr: Do you want to bring the stole to work on in Scotland?
KG: Not really. I don't think riding around in the back seat with my grandma will be condusive to knitting.
Dr: So how many days do you really have left to finish the stole?
KG: *weep* 8 (plus one day to block it). *sniffle*
Dr: And you wanted to knit something for your cousin's wedding which is in how many days?
KG: 14 *cry*
Dr: And why don't you tell us where this poor stole is!
KG: In a pile on the dresser.
Dr: Is that where it should be?
KG: Huh? Uh... no I guess not.
Dr: Is that any way to treat 60 euros worth of Kidsilk Haze and probably 60 hours of your labor?
KG: *sniffle* no...
