merry merry happy happy

updated at 10:45
I sent out my submission so now I just have to patiently await the rejection answer. I feel like I shouldn't even be telling you because I'm probably cursing myself. To reward myself for my hard work and staying up too darned late, I'm knitting for the joy of it, not for a pattern. I'm making myself socks. Or at least a sock. I thought I bought 2 skeins of Lorna's Laces in Lucky Stripe, but I only found one. That either means I only bought one or I just can't find the other. I think I only bought one. So I guess I'm going to make the sock up to the ankle and then the other and then I'll see how much I have left. I would have liked to make taller socks. I'll do it next time. This yarn is so lovely, I'm sure I'll be ordering some soon.

you sick of seeing my desk as the background yet?

I also have to finish the anouk dress I started for my MIL. I still haven't finished the stupid thing. It just needs a neck and the collar and the tabs and some weaving in ends. blech. I really wanted to only knit for fun until at least Monday, but I guess I should finish this thing for her this weekend to get it out of my hair and give it to my MIL while I'm at her place. For Frog, I had the same idea as Shelby and you can see what I made if you click on the present. FROG - GO AWAY! Love you, sweetie, but don't look please!

And here's my sock sitting on top of our fancy dinner plates

Happy holidays to all! Travel safely if you're going anywhere and eat loads of cookies for me since I didn't make any.

Love the color of your socks. If I were you, I would keep looking for the other skein. Been there, done that.

Oooh, I'm loving that tangerine-y sock! Happy holidays!

The sock is fab - I actually really like footies, so it's very cool in my book. I think you should be doing much more knitting for fun. I blew off that submission deadline and will work on submissions again after the first of the year. Apparently, I needed a hiatus. The hubby gift is very cute, too. xox

I'm with Nancy: submission? I thought I'd fallen asleep at the keyboard.

LOVE the sock. I'm still trying to force myself to work on the autumn socks I began back at the end of the summer... and it shames me that it's now the middle of winter and I only have about three inches of the first one done.

PS. Terrific dinnerware.

et Joyeux Noel! however you end up spending it. A xx

Nice sock. You rock. So you're going to break the one-sock rule, eh? goooood. your feet will thank you. These look really cool.

Time to eat cookies and get ready to rock on in geek land...

I made cookies with a friend for her BF's mother. I think there'll be some for me in it, and I'll think of you when I eat them.
Get Anouk out of the way.
