Socks Queen
I'm pretty happy with my socks. They're a little big, but that's what you get for not swatching, eh? The crown is from la galette des rois that we ate instead of having a healthy lunch. I found the "feve" so I'm queen today. I'm trying to decide if I want to be nice or a despot. I only have a couple hours left in the day to be tyrannical so I better decide quickly.

The socks are adorable and I love the photography. Thanks for the link to the Gothamist - it's a cool paper that I didn't know about, and the piece on Galette des Rois was interesting - a tradition I didn't know about. I may have to make one next week....

Here in Hollywood we order up a gallet des roi all through the year. Epiphany Shmapiphany! It's good to be queen who is your king? and you got the charm ( fev?) I have a collection of my mother in law's from 30 years.. I will follow your lead and make myself a pair of socks. enough with the Christmas scarf presents.

Very cute socks. The first pair I ever knit for myself was from that same Lorna's colorway and I love them so much I still wear them once a week.
