don't ask why I'm wearing a sweater on my legs

They're new. They're orange. They're not terribly practical. I like 'em. And the sweater is coming along pretty well. I haven't had much time to knit lately. I keep getting distracted by other stuff and while I'm doing that stuff, I'm distracted by thoughts of knitting. I have to work most of the week but I have set aside Wednesday for taking care of neglected projects (and there are lots of them).

Who makes those shoes? I must have them. Do I need to come to Paric to obtain some - I will.

Those are awesome shoes -- and one can never have too many of those! And I like the leg-sweater: you may very well be setting a new fashion trend (although the runway shows may be a bit comic).
PS. Thanks for the tip on the Carolina H outlet -- we've scheduled a trip to check it out!

OK, another pair of delightful shoes? You are a wicked woman -- tormenting me from across the pond with adorable shoes and petite bateau shirts ON SALE. Wicked! Wicked! Wicked!

I am totally jealous of your shoes. And your knitting of socks (hates dpn here). The sweater looks lovely, and so do your feet in the orange shoes :-)

I see you have a thing for shoe shopping (me too!). The new pair look great.

I used to dress like that when I was a young girl but I was not nearly as stylish and colorful and clever as you Kate. Very nice shoes - these and the green ones. Good you treated yourself!
How is the knitting going for your Froggy?

You're a celebrity. We buy your patterns, we want your shoes. The green ones look like Cinderella French peasant shoes. These look like pumpkin (pumpkins are not oranges), and I'd wear them in a heartbeat. Obviously you would too. You could sell your shoe photography, really. And sock feet upon the wall. Sell a calendar (or note cards) of your knitting photography. I'd buy it. :)

You lie like a rug. These shoes are very practical. Your feet will be warm AND orange. I call that a reason to go buy yourself an unpractical pair of shoes just to congratulate yourself for the fine job you've done achieving your goal of buying shoes to keep your feet warm.
Wellies keep your feet dry. Shoes, in driving rain, do not. Don't sweat it, baby. (I have a pair of purple Doc Martens. If you need someone to tell you that you shouldn't have bought a pair of shoes you love, I am not that girl...)

Great shoes - although I do have to say - thank god for Payless - never have to go through the same dilemma - can always drop in and buy a 10 or 15 dollar pair of something not too ugly and made out of vinyl that works in the rain and not care too much if I ruin them.
BUt damn, you bought some cute shoes - especially partial to the green suede ballet slippers

Nobody, N-O-B-O-D-Y will ever ever say you have boring shoe taste. I think your choices are magnificent! And the Laura sweater looks so cute wrapped around your legs like that...hee hee.

Ooh, I'm going to have to stop reading your blog if you keep posting photos of lovely shoes, as it will make me want to start shoe shopping...and then how will I afford any yarn? lol

Love that photo. I want those shoes!

oh, I am back to middle school! Those shoes were popular then and I saw them in Italy - they are coming back.
I would have bought a pair too if I had found them in orange or red.

I'm envious of both pair of shoes! Who needs practical?

ooh. orange. i've become subconsciously obsessed with orange. i already had an orange parka (i purchased it last year and decided on orange because it was the only color 50% off) but i bought an orange wallet, an orange clipboard, an orange hat and orange gloves in the past couple of months and only now realized that i had all of this orange. by the way, the shoes in france rock. unfortunately since i wear a 42 fillette, i'm usually screwed.

I love them! Reminds of these suede shows I bought years ago (and I think they were French, too) called Kickers. They were a lovely shade of turquoise. Funny, too, how I never liked orange, rust, pumpkin or variations of them, but I have a great fleece jacket in that color now and I love it.

They look VERY practical. How come they're not? Again, gorgeous pair. What other stuff? Stop apologizing. Bises.
