Waiting - the story of my life
today's post is brought to you in the form of a list of the things I'm waiting for
1. A package of yarn that I desperately need. Later: Bitch and you shall receive! The yarn is here! Now for the rest of the list.
2. Addis that I ordered from Germany that haven't arrived because the store lady says, "You live in an area which the mail can not drive in, they must ring a bell and you open then." I'm puzzled by this as I live on a pretty big boulevard in a city and three weeks seems a bit excessive between two European countries.
3. Frog's contract to be over so we can move.
4. To know if Frog's contract is going to be extended so I can buy plane tickets to go see my sister and go to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival while I'm at it.
5. To have a project that is not tied up with some sort of restriction so I can actually show it to you so you don't think I've stopped knitting.
6. To win the lottery so I can buy all of the gorgeous clothes I saw at le Bon Marché the other day.
7. The laundry and dishes to do themselves.
8. My brain power to become strong enough that I can type with no hands while I knit.
9. A way to warp the space-time continuum so I can get everything I have to do done and still have time to cook a nice dinner.
10. Spring

Hey honey:
I was in Knit Wit in Portland today and she had all these very familar hats on the wall, and I said. . .
"Those are Kate's hats" and she asked if I knew you! I got to see your very cute very pretty packaging, and I am busting a gut with excitement that I played your groupie in a yarn store Stateside. (She says your Mom needs to send her more copies.) heehee.
I'll email when I get back to my computer. I'm such a dork, I can't do that from here.
mwah,
moi.

MD Sheep and Wool! Well, now I'm just downright jealous. I hope you can make it.
And that's a LONG time too wait for Addis. I'll be in town in a couple of weeks; if you like I can bring you some. :)

Go to Maryland Sheep and Wool! It is so cool that you mentioned that. I am a Maryland girl who can't go anymore, but I can tell you people to look for.

Waiting is the worst! I know that there is a mystery package that will be delivered to my house tonight, and I can't STAND the suspense!

I hope you find out about Frog's job soon. I'm sure the waiting is difficult!

Hi Kate- my first post, although I have been reading your blog for a while now. At the risk of adding something else to your list, thought you may be interested in this link, if you haven't come across it already...

I can't help out much with your list; but I can say that one or two of those came through for me. So I am thinking about trying to get up a yankee gathering :)
bises that it comes together for you too!

RE: No. 9 - go speak to Yarn Harlot, she's very good at space time continuum warping, but then you'd have to make latvian mittens too.
My dishes and house clean by themselves...oh, wait, no, that's what my hsband is for.

I thought all day about your yarn situation and I feel *firmly* that I am to thank for its arrival. Well, me and maybe, the post.

i am right there with you on 7, 8, and 9! always look forward to your posts...

One thing is sure: Spring will arrive way earlier in Paris than in Montreal...
When you have figured out how exactly one has to wait till the dishes and the laundry do themselves, please, let me know!

I'm waiting for World of Warcraft to be less all-consuming, and I'm waiting to be able to breathe out of my nose. Spring would be nice, too...it's raining slush here. Bleah.
Please tell me that contract is NOT going to be extended...though, on the bright side, you would be looking for apartments in Montréal when it is less...heu...okay, there's only one word for February in Montreal (with a few expletives attached, but we'll not mention those here): Disgusting.
Hang in there...you got the yarn, so now you can move forward with at least one thing. Go, Carpal Tunnel Queen, Go! ;-)))

You must be related to Kess then?
Hopefully, your evolution will go smoothly...

What I wouldn't give for #9 myself! I wouldn't be too adverse to #10 either :)

I like the way you think, grrl.

Ah, to type and knit at the same time. This would be our greatest invention. ;-)

Sorry Kate can't help you any, laundry and dishes, both overflowing here, as its school holidays, bleuch!
My brother in London, received a parcel from me yesterday, it contained 2 knitted hats I sent for my niece, I posted it on the 22nd October! No joke, it apparently went via Singapore!
If you figure no 9 any time soon let me know.

I've been working on #9 for about a week. I'll let you know how it goes.
(Well not really because I haven't had the time to do anything with it--so let's just say I've been thinking about it).
The tooth fairy came last night and I meant to leave her a note to pass along to the cleaning fairy. Maybe she'll visit your house.

WHY won't the laundry and the dishes do themselves?? DAMN THEN!! I have the same problem with poorly trained dishes and laundry - although in NY if I want to waste the money i can pay 70cents a pound for the laundromat to do it - kinda like having a laundry fairy - and it comes back FOLDED and everything!! although it's not good for anything that need special attention.
Still - those dishes just never learn.

There is some computer program that uses voice-recognition to do your typing... it's a start. I have no answer for the dishes and laundry. Sorry.
