Worsted Wool is not my lover.

Frog keeps calling me "my poor Michael"

I can finally knit with a glove on. It still doesn't feel great, but it works. Last week it just hurt too darned much, glove or no glove.

In other news (or lack thereof): I missed my blog birthday. I had meant to do something about it, like a contest or something, but I am too sleepy and disorganized to have any original thoughts and carry them through right now. Maybe I'll consider the blog birthday the day that I changed the name to Needles on Fire and the month leading up to that as warm-up. In any case, several months of posts are still stuck over in my old blogger archives and I have to bring them all over. I'm really wondering if I even want to. I was always the type of kid who would keep a diary, then periodically go back and rip all the pages out and start over. I'm kind of having this dilemma again as I look at my old posts. I wonder if they are really worth bringing over here. I think lots of the old posts (and maybe a lot of the newer ones) should probably go the way of the diary pages. Who would sit down and read a year of my archives anyway?

Get well soon Kate. I miss reading your entries (even ones that say "I can't show you anything!"). Make Frog give you herbal hand massages or something. *Hugs*

I have to use gloves to knit when I use Noro yarns. Skin gets so raw from it. I am allergic to sulphites which are sometimes used in dyes but I have been unable to figure out if the problem is with the actual fibers or the dye. Hope you feel better soon.

Happy Belated Blog Birthday!

So sorry to hear about your hands. I had creaked hands and fingers that it hurt to put lotion on them until I found crack cream. Sounds a little dirty but it really relieved the pain. Feel better soon.

A glove! I never would have thought of it. I get nasty ecema (sp?) in between my fingers when I work with wool. I feel your pain.

I just moved my blog site about a month ago and just linked them together... So, my old spot is dead, but in my last and first posts, I just put the new and the old link in. That made me feel better about not ditching my last 8 months or so on my previous blog (though it was not about knitting).

Anyhow, love your post, look forward to reading more!

You definitely need to bring back the archives...I just found you last week and have already made my way through all the archives available. I need a new fix!

Yes, I love the old posts, sometimes I look things up from old posts, so if you can move them over it's worth it I think. But only if YOU wanna. ;-)

I used to tear out my diary pages and toss them in the fire. Then, I'd toss in the whole darn book! Hope you get a chance to catch up and rest soon. (I like to read archives now and then, too.)

It's amazing what we'll do to keep knitting. Hope it clears up soon and ISN'T from wool!

Sometimes when I find a new-to-me blogger, I'll go back and read their archives. If I enjoy their writing and projects, I'll read ALL the archives. There's a certain energy and excitement that new knitbloggers have, so its interesting to see it in their first entries. I like getting a sense of where someone comes from and what they've done in the past.

So that's my plug for moving over old entries. Its up to you though!

I'm glad you're able to knit again. Hope you're hand starts feeling better soon.
