Should I brag?
Yeah. I think so.
I'm always happy to see when other bloggers have met each other and loved each other, but I have to admit, sometimes I feel a wee bit left out. I mean, I'm pretty far away from most of the ladies I read about on a regular basis. But last night, I went to Paris-Tricot for the first time in a long time and there were LOADS of people. I think there were 17 of us, including many first timers! I remembered that knitting with other people is fun and I whipped out a big chunk of a project while I sat there and chatted. And not only were there loads of people, there were visitors! Becky was up from Lyon, Jackie and Bonne Marie were here from the states, a really nice lady from Madrid was there (forgive me! I can't remember your name!) and Stinkerbellcame too. She's in Paris all the time. We just never see each other. Plus, there were lots of French gals that I don't get to see often, like Sophie, Laëtitia and Isabelle. It was really great. I'll have to come out of hibernation more often.

You didn't think I would actually show you anything detailed, did you? Sorry. Maybe next project.
I love this yarn. It's Jaeger Extra Fine Merino DK. I love it. I love it. I love it. It knits up soooooo nicely. It's soft. It's springy. It's loverly. (Yes, so lovely I have to say it like Eliza Doolittle)

Bragging rights, indeed! Congratulations on your cover! So cool. And, you know, your blogger meet-ups, though perhaps rare, are just ever-so-cool with that international flair and all. (You sound so much better in your last posts. My sis is due in 6 days -- in the blink of an eye, that's going to be you!)

Excellent! You are getting famous and spreading the word about EFM at once! May this mean that many many patterns will be written and the color pallette expanded. I LOVE this yarn.
I am excited about your IK sweater and many others in the Fall issue. :)

Congratulations on the cover of IK! The sweater is beautiful. Oh and I'm a new reader of sorts, so congratulations on your pregnancy as well - hope you're feeling well.

Kate, the cover sweater is BEAUTIFUL! You didn't mention that it was called the Union Square Market sweater. Now I really have to make that one!
I so enjoyed meeting you and having dinner on Friday.

Congrats on making the cover of IK. It's beautiful!
Did you name the sweater?
Union Square (in NYC) has a lot of wonderful memories for me, too.
Hope to see more of you fab designs.

Sweetheart you can brag; and I can say that I loved every minute of it, and we need to do so more often.
Even better I can totally remedy that. Japanese for teaching me how to set in a sleeve trade is on offer. I have seamed (oh behold the love that I have for Bonne Marie!) and now need to attach them- the vest look doesnt work for me :)

Oh my goodness, did I just see your name in print in a future IK preview.... say for fall 2005! Could it be? :) It's beautiful, let it be you, ok!?

I always find it weird, in a most wonderful way, when I meet blog people in real life. It makes the world a much smaller place, and a much friendlier place. I secretly hope you're still in paris in November, with bub, and I can have my own little knt up with you guys. Be well my dear.

oooh, mystery projects are most splendid (and keep your readers coming back for more, you sneaky girl :P )
trust me, you're not alone in the "no one is here to knit with" feelings because i live in tucson, and most everyone thinks it a rediculous idea to knit. not me!
happy knitting <3

And it's a loverly colour, too! I'm absolutely in favour of you getting out of hibernation and meet friends to knit. I loves me my Sundays, 'cause Sundays are for knitting with my girls. Usually not too much knitting gets done, but that's not really the point.

What's that old line? "It's not bragging if it's the truth." I'm so glad you came out of hibernation, that you were feeling well, and that you had a great time. Whether any actual knitting got done is of lesser importance. It's all about the kindred spirits!
