You don't want to be my friend

I'll just take advantage of bribe convince you to knit for me, like I did to Julia. I'm the reason she hasn't had of her own knitting to show on the blog. Sorry.

Or you would end up making my unborn child stuff, like my friend Anne did. Isn't this too cute? She hand quilted it. She's nuts, no?

Stay away from me. I'm bad news.

P.S. Thanks so much for all of your nice notes about my debut in IK! You're too nice!

Your Union Square sweater is to die for. I've already bought yarn that I *hope* will work for it, so that I'm ready when my issue arrives. It's beautiful . . . and the cover, even. You should be so excited!

Hi Kate, just saw ref to your cover on Bonne Marie's blog. Wow! Congrats on making the cover, but even more on designing such a beautiful sweater. Can't wait for my mag to show up!

That quilt is just amazing! Lucky, lucky you, and your unborn babe! Wow...

Kate, so glad you got to hang with all the knitters.

I have been awaiting seeing your design in IK, and you got the COVER! You rock. That's all there is to it. Congrats, you deserve it. Hope all is well baby-wise!

Handquilting is not nuts. Neither is handknitting. It's Creee-Ayyyy-Tive. (picture my grandmother with the Massachusetts accent saying this to me when really, she means, "you're freaking nuts, lady...")

I want to be your friend. Oh, wait, I already am. I'm not telling you what I'm making for you...and it's not for Crevette, although I will most certainly make something for the little shrimp once I know what size he/she is going to be when he/she lands in this world. I just never know until they drop.

I'm making something for you you you. Just you. Cause you're awesome and you deserve it. So there.

bisoux ;-)

I bought your Shining Star hat pattern last night, and I'm up to the part in the Toddler size where it says to make rows 41-60, repeat rows 37-40 four more times...but 4 repeats of 4 rows=16 rows, not 20 (41-60 is 20 rows), so am I just supposed to repeat it five times, or are there 4 rows missing from that part of the pattern?

I am so late in congratulating you on the baby so I will congratulate you on both - two babies really, real in-the-tummy baby and your soon to be newborn cover of IK (I am already planning to make your Union Square - it looks lovely). I wish you nothing but absolute bliss through your pregnancy.
