Packing roll call

Yarn packed and superfluous yarn given to friends?

Check!

Needles packed?

Check!

Ball winder, yarn meter, swift and notions packed?

Check!

Books and magazines packed?

Check!

Tonton Guy's Monster Sock found, ripped, reballed and packed?

Check!

Other than three balls of kidsilk haze that I can't find anywhere, the knitting supplies are ready for the trip. The other stuff? Not so much. Looking at this, I could almost fool you into thinking I am organized, no? Here's my new goal: to be organized for real, not sporradically. We'll see how it works out.

Good luck with your move. Just don't ever forget your stash of yarns, knitting needles and notions. :)

I am also trying to be organized in our new apartment.

Well, good luck with the move. PS - Babies are better than knitting.

Staying organized is tough work. Be strong. Fight temptation to leave something lying about "just for tonight". Before you know it...

WHERE. ARE. YOU. KSH?????

Nope, didn't work. ;-)
Hope the move goes well! When's the little kicker due?

I wish I could pretend to be that organized!

I hope your move goes smoothly! I think we all need to be more organized.. but with so much yarn, its so hard! You did a wonderful job packing!

Posted by: Dani at August 2, 2005 03:28 PM

seems like you are really ready...

good luck for the move and your new goal/resolution ;o)

Just one thing - don't leave the rubber bands around the needles for long, they can perish and leave an awful unmovable sticky mess :-(

Good luck!

It feels quite sad that you're packing up and moving, even though I know it's for the best for you all. I don't envy the amount of time and energy it requires to move either, but thanks for keeping on posting throughout it all. That's a serious amount of needles there my dear!!

Yay! I was still unpacking yesterday from my move 3 months ago...and I STILL cannot find my back issues of IK or half my knitting books....GRRR.

Best of luck to you!!

Well, at least the knitting is ready to go! Who really needs the rest . . . oh wait, that would include reading material, too, wouldn't it? Don't worry, you're doing fine!

Posted by: --Deb at August 1, 2005 04:55 PM

Don't worry, Kris, we'll take good care of her over here :-)

Posted by: Lee Ann at August 1, 2005 04:51 PM

Wow, I didn't know there was such a thing as superfluous yarn.

Good luck with the move! Organized knitting supplies -- there's a new idea for me. I may just have to try it. :)
