sigh of relief

Here's a before/action shot.

The moving guy seemed equally amused by the quantity of yarn and the vacuum bags I had it stored in.

and after.
I was a little overzealous with the yarn packing. The only things left are 2 balls of koigu, a couple balls of Rowan denim that I've been meaning to play with and a ball of neato fuzzy stuff that Anne-Caroline brought to me. I had meant to get out some organic cotton that this awesome lady gave to me or the green KSH that I finally found, but I forgot. Oh well. I'm going to London this weekend to visit my cousin. They have yarn there, I hear. I also hear there is yarn in Canada. If our boxes take the slow boat, I might have time to build a whole new stash! ...just what I need!

The yarn stash actually looks quite small when put it vacuum bags! Hmm.... what a great idea....
So with you and Koigu on the same continent, who knows what you'll be knitting up!

Not that I am trying to promote yarn buying but..http://www.bergeredefrance.fr/tricotheque/home.html is on the outskirts on Montreal. They have an awesome catalog and free pattern book of all the stuff in the catalog.

Moving to Montreal? That's fablous. I'm in Montreal and there seems to be a real lack of good LYSs and young knitters--- glad to have you here!

Oh I think the yarn in London will find you - yes, you will need "a bit of yarn" to tide you over till the belongings arrive at your new home. Safe travels to you - Terry in SF

That must be a relief to have that checked off your list! Moving is always a huge reality check with regards to the size of your stash!
You are a courageous woman moving during your pregnancy!
