No baby. Not much sleep. Plenty of acid reflux.
I'm sorry I've kind of dropped off the face of the planet. I'm just tiiiiiired and I can barely get my thoughts together enough to make coherent sentences so I was just trying not to torture you with bland, inarticulate posts (no need to thank me for avoiding it up til now). I've had half prepared posts sitting around for a few weeks. I really have to show you all the great stuff that I've received with the cyber shower! I'll try to do that over the next few days before the babe shows up. I've actually been knitting a lot but you know the drill: I can't show it to you. You should see it in the spring Interweave and I'm pretty darned happy with the result for once!
The 25 boxes we sent from France have finally shown up, so as soon as I can get Frog to shift them around a bit, I will have access to my stash and will hopefully start a project for Tadpole. I have a whole five days before my due date. That's plenty of time to make a layette, no?
I know everyone is doing this now, but I would loooove to know where you all are. Wanna tell me? Go here! I don't know how everyone made those little buttons. I must be blind. I don't see how to do it.

Gedifra Cotton Merino:
It's a little slippery and a little splitty, but it's pretty. It looks very cottony, but the merino gives it some spring that you wouldn't get with 100% cotton. It's 52% wool, 48% cotton. The label says that you should use a US9/5.5mm needle. Label schmabel. I think it looks a little nicer on a US8/5mm.

Hope all is well and that you're holding your daughter in your arms by now. Best Wishes.

bonjour kate, je suis en France, moiti頠 paris moiti頠 blois (pr賠d'orl顮s).
j'esp貥 que ton accouchement se passera bien, je me souviens de tes notes lorsque tu as su que tu 鴡is enceinte, et maintenant 硠y'est, le b颩 va 괲e lࠥt rien ࠳e mettre ? mais que sont devenu anouk et laura ??
Hello i'm in France part time in paris and blois (near orl顮s). I remember your first posts, when you knew you were pregnant and here you are ! you say the bab's got nothing to wear, what about anouk and laura ?

We have (had) the same due date, and my monkey isn't here yet, either. I'm frantically working on a pair of pants, the last in the set of pants this size, in between catching up on schoolwork and Christmas (eep!) knitting. I hear ya on the reflux, though...it's KILLER! A friend who's in college for naturopathic medicine told me slippery elm bark is supposed to help, but I'll be damned if I can find it anywhere :(

Oh, the anticipation. Glad to see you online again. Best wishes to you on the "big day!"

5 days is plenty of time. I made curtains for the baby's room. Well I had a little extra time because the baby was 11 days late.
Hang in there. Enjoy the anticipation, it's an amazing time.

Miss you on the knitblogs but it's okay, you're having a baby! ;-) I'm just looking forward to your new designs...

Yay! You are back! I really thought you may have had the baby. But it will come! It has to right?
;-).
Can't wait to see what you are doing for Interweave Knits.

Thinking of you guys and your one-to-come. Just think: It'll happen any day now.
Then truly, your lives will change. In a BIG way.
So happy for you.

If you go into the "edit map" part, and then click on "group stickers" it'll give you the code for the button.
No, it was *not* intuitive. I found it by clicking around randomly, to see what all the stuff was.

I'm just in the middle of knitting your bunny for my two year old. Thanks for a fabulous pattern!
Think - TUMS - they were my best friend and the doctors even think they're ok.

I'm glad to "see" you on-line again - I missed you! I know you're ready for the baby to be here, but at least in my case this gives me a little more time to "shower" you. My prezzie has been running late. I can't wait to see all the loot. I saw Marnie's gift in person, and I love it, so I know you must, too. Hope you feel better and get lots of rest. We'll be here when you're ready to blog.
By the way - Spring IK, too? Girl, you are on a roll! More power to you!

i managed to make a hat (the only thing that i knit for cocoa pebbles when i was pregnant) a few days before i delivered, so you will definitely be able to do the layette.
woo hoo, you're almost there!!!!!!

I, too, was wondering if you had the baby yet. I want to see some pictures when it finally arrives. Courage, la fin est vraiment ce qui est le plus chiant.

I feel for you, honey. I remember having heartburn so bad with baby #4 that I was nostalgic for morning sickness.
This too shall pass.

Take all the time you need to rest -- store up a reserve for a week from now when you may be needing it!
Oh, and putting the frappr button on your blog -- if sign in as the admin and customize your frappr map, they give you the code to use.

Almost there, dude, almost there. Hang in, honey...
(Dear Baby Girl No. 1: your mother would like her digestive system back. Love, your neighbor who is knitting you fuzzy stuff.)

Rebecca (Supergirl) and I were just talking about you last night, wondering if you had the baby yet. Congrats on rocking out with TWO patterns in the new IK. I'm so impressed.
