I decided that the baby was never going to come if I didn't knit her something so last Saturday night I finished these:
I would have liked to make up a pattern especially for her, but I figured at the speed I was moving, that would mean she wouldn't come out before spring. Instead, I used the better than booties pattern from the Summer 2005 IK. Saturday night, I also washed all the floors in the house in case she was waiting for clean floors.
And early in the morning on Monday the 28th, my favorite FO ever made her appearance.
PS I have three different posts started about all of the great stuff I have received for the cyber shower. I was just too restless to finish any of them. I promise I'll do it soon.

Huge congratulations! She is so gorgeous.
My daughter is one today and the only thing I've knit for her besides a hat is your Samantha pattern. This seems to be the way of creative types. We like giving things away, designing items and plan on getting to our own homes, husbands, children and it doesn't happen. I sew also, and have made countless dresses for other people's girls and lamented about how I had two boys that I couldn't sew any dresses for. Now, we have a baby girl and she has yet to receive a dress from Mommy. Oh well.
Sounds like Tadpole won't be hurting for handknits, though, thanks to the cyber shower. How lovely.

Congratulations, Kate! I've been checking in here to see when you had that little one. I can totally sympathize with the turning in circles as I'm one week out from another baby girl. This weekend I frogged over 100 hours worth of work in the hopes that maybe once it was done I could finally go into labor.
