I'm not ready for my closeup

I'm determined to finally show you all of the cyber shower presents and I was hoping to show you a lovely baby smile while I was at it. Tadpole is not as serious as you might think from yesterday's photos. But she is determined too. Determined not to be a model and determined to spend all of today in my arms.

I'm really not in the mood, Ma. Let's go snuggle, please?

Pink hat and specially embroidered onesie from Mrs. Pilkington and striped alpaca hat from (blogless) Kim

You know, I can wiggle and fuss and make this hard.

A second hat from Kim, froggie sweater to grow into from Marnie and stuffed birdie from Julia

Check out this face. How's that make you feel, Mom?

A hat from Cari and a blanket from Blossom.

Isn't it great how somehow things go together? And contrary to what her face was saying today she (and I) loves having so many things that were made so carefully and sweetly for her.

OK. You win Tadpole. Let's go back to the couch for a nap.

What a sweet little angel! I love the pouty face. It looks like the one right before she gets good and mad. The blanket from Blossom is gorgeous!

She's the stylinest most knittiest tadpole ever. Wow! Love it all. xoxo Kay

Such a lovely baby. Who wouldn't want to knit for her?

And while I've only seen a few photos of you, to my mind she looks astonishingly like you already.

She's so adorable! Isn't it funny how they get exactly what they want because they're so incredibly cute, even when grumpy with clothes modeling?

How can I get the patterns for the froggy sweater and hat as well as the plum color hat and blanket...just love them all! Thanks.

She is beautiful and all her gifts are so very lovely. Oh, how I love little babies. Little babies in handknits make me swoon.

Oh that quivering lip is too much!!!

Oh, that last picture sure tugs the heart-strings.

She's getting big so fast. As the mother of one of those things who is now 18 (but really...she was that little just last week!...I swear it was last week) I should be fully aware of how fast the time goes but it always catches me by surprise.

She's gorgeous and she sure has a nice wardrobe!

That's so cool that gifts matched up like that! (And I can't believe what a lovely blanket Blossom made. I swear she just learned to knit five minutes ago. She's a natural.)

Even upset, she's so CUTE. Do those items really match as well as they seem to? If so that's pretty impressive.

She looks miserable and adorable at the same time! Enjoy your nap. xox,

Oh, that last face. SO sad but so sweet. As difficult as those "hold me and nurse me forever" days are, I now totally miss them.

And you must have the most-knit-for baby in the world.
