New events
Early on Tadpole knew the red sweater was awful and covered her eyes to hide from the horror I was knitting.
So my new olympic event is finishing the two Laura sweaters that have been haunting me for ages. I started today.
Would it be wrong of me to order this? And if I were to order it, which color should I get? I really like pebble beach because it's kind of neutral and not at the same time. Which is also why I like selkie. And limpet is pretty, but how gorgeous is sundew? Or do you think I would risk being shot by Cheney if I wore a color like that? Would I even wear this sweater? I just want something to knit from someone else's pattern. I want to blindly follow what another designer has written. I've never done that before. It'll be fun. So which do you like? Help me choose - though I may go against what you guys say so don't be mad if I ignore your suggestions.
Please forgive me if you go to the view results page and get yucky ads at the top and bottom of the page. I couldn't find any other blog poll that wanted to work for me. I'm all ears if you know one. And does anyone know why my background turned greenish with this poll in here and how to fix it?

I actually love all of the colors you have picked out. However, I think that if your coloration is correct in the picture provided, limpet and sundew would look best. I so covet that vest. I have longed to knit it. Does the pattern come with the yarn? I was under the impression that Starmore didn't sell her patterns except in her books which are largely out of print.
Btw, tadpole is unbelievably gorgeous. I hope your husband is already practicing beating back the suitors.

i love that pattern! in fact i have been planning on ordering that kit for so long now. maybe later this year....
i vote for limpet or pebble beach. but then i'm biased because i am just not an orange kind of gal. tadpole looks gorgeous and she has grown so much already!

Ooh, Sundew. It's not too dark, not too light. Don't know how tweedy Pebble Beach is; would the amount of variegation distract from the cabled goodness?

I was going to suggest a little cardigan for Tadpole out of that red yarn, but seeing her reaction, it might have long-term consequences!!

that is just the best photograph, almost unbearably cute. i voted for sundew, limpet would be my second choice. if you're going to pick another's designer's pattern to do, that sure is a pretty one.

I voted for Pebble Beach because of it's near neutral standing. I just ordered a kit using the Limpet so that would be my second and totally biased choice. Enjoy! Tadpole is getting so big already!

Sundew reminds me of your IK jacket. Also glorious. You are drawn to the vibrant sunny colors, and so am I. I would go with sundew.
Maybe you could let Tadpole choose. Hold her over a sample card and see where the drool lands.

Pebble Beach has to be the one. Love the texture on the pattern but for ample curves like mine i would need to knit a V neckline. Keep up the good work.

I just walked in from my little trip to Montreal (1-1/2 days)and had to respond. Tadpole is just the cutest and you look wonderfully peaceful.
I voted for the Sundew for a couple of reasons: first, you seem to love it. In upstate NY bright orange and/or red are supposedly protective colors in the world of hunting and Cheney should not influence another second of our lives. While I am sorry for his victim--I mean friend--we (not just Americans) have all been his victims in too many ways.
Now, back to Tadpole...aw!
