What I did on my spring vacation
Hey. Remember me? I'm back and I finallly got my act together to post. Here's a photo collage to show you some of the highlights of our trip.

From left to right and top to bottom: Meeting a new friend ♦ We became pros at changing diapers in the car ♦ Stylin' ♦ Hanging out with Tadpole's only "cousin" ♦ Tadpole's favorite form of transportation ♦ Evidence of spring ♦ Having lunch outside ♦ New York! ♦ Lovely yarn to match rockin' hair ♦ On the bus ♦ Shopping ♦ Knitting get together (Nipperknits Jen, Regina [very cool commenter] holding Squeeky, Blossom [bestest friend]) ♦ Meeting fellow bloggers for the first time (Mrs. Pilkington, Valentina holding Tadpole, Jackie Blue)♦ My daughter's hair matches my best friend's hair... weird. ♦ Orange boots and orange yarn - two of my purchases ♦ Snuggling with Nana. Not pictured: The lady I saw knitting in a PT Cruiser at a gas station just over the PA border, Connecticut, Schenectady, nursing stops all over the East coast.
Back to work. I'll resurface one of these days to tell you about the yarn shops I visited and the state of my projects.

hey Kate! you and baby are looking GREAT. And your post gives me hope that I will one day be able to leave the house for more than 1.5 hrs at a time (my baby is about three weeks old now). I am wondering how you did the pic collage? I've been struggling with how to do that this morning. I have many cute facial expressions to montage!
Anyway, hope you are doing well :)

Hey Kate - long time no talk. We gotta get on that. Plus, I want to know all the cool things Tadpole is doing so I can know what to look forward to! A-C

Tadpole is quite the little beauty.
Annie Modesitt has a PT Cruiser. Wouldn't it have been amazing if it was her, you saw knitting?
Glad you had such a nice time.

Welcome back! Your posts were missed.
Congratulations on the cute sweater in the summer issue of IK. I saw a preview in another blog.
I'm sure you hear it all time, but your baby is gorgeous!!!

Weird - I was just thinking about you last night, wondering when you would be back. Tadpole's gotten so big, and she's absolutely beautiful!

Welcome back! Looks like you had a lovely time... I'm envious of your getting to see New York in spring and knit with the Drafty Ladies. And the Point, how I miss thee...
This reminds me of one of the Bill Cunningham spreads from the Sunday Styles--photos from all over the city showing new trends.

I love the picture of Tadpole and the dog, they seem to be checking each other out and thinking "wha?"

Glad to have you back. I was so disappointed to learn that I'd missed you at The Point by one day! Darn! I do want to congratulate you on the two designs in the forthcoming IK. I have to say that your Mommy Snug is lovely and sexy.

It was so wonderful to meet you and Tadpole. I am completely smitten with her (well, with both of you, to tell the truth). I finally got it together to mail you that ball of Trekking yesterday, so be on the lookout!

I just happened to see the Summer Interweave Knits preview and I love your Pea Pod Baby Set design! I can't wait until the pattern is available! I also like the maternity sweater. I haven't seen nearly as many maternity patterns around, but maybe I haven't been looking in the right places. The pictures from your trip are great- your daughter is beautiful!
