Project Limbo

The sleeves are done and sewn and packed up and gone:

I'm waiting for the yarn to make this:

As well as yarn and the green light for my next few "work" projects. I still have about a thousand socks on the needles and Tadpole's sweater is just missing the neck. That's about all that's happening here because the "project" I work on every day is trying to learn to crawl. And she's has decided that she wants to "help" so I gave her a rejected piece of the project that just got mailed. She thinks frogging's a blast and Rowan Scottish Aran Tweed is yummy. I see a future knitter.

so curious to see what marvel you create from the color block design.

Posted by: kat at July 31, 2006 05:29 PM

Wow, that color pattern looks amazing. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

Tadpole is growing up! She is beautiful and adorable. And has good taste in yarn!

Yay, Kate! I knew you could get it done! Tadpole is so sweet - and I'm sure she's thrilled to have her very own yarn. Train 'em young, that's what I always say! :-)

Tadpole is so cute!

I'm delurking here, I just had to say your baby is so cute! And it seems like she's getting big really fast!

Posted by: Lauren at July 28, 2006 08:38 AM

OMG - Tadpole is ADORABLE! I could eat her up, she's so cute! I can't believe she's already sitting up, but it is almost August, so that makes sense. Amazing - seems like she was just born yesterday. :-)

tadpole=unbearably cute, pattern=groovy to the infinite power...post=perfect.

Posted by: mrspilkington at July 27, 2006 07:46 PM

What type of yarn are you using for the blanket?

Posted by: Kimberly at July 27, 2006 03:25 AM

TADPOLE IS JUST TOOOOO CUTE!!! Amazing project you've set yourself for...good luck and I can't wait to see it.

Posted by: wendy at July 26, 2006 11:36 PM

My goodness, Tadpole is one of the cutest ever! I love that picture!

Posted by: Jenny at July 26, 2006 10:16 PM

It looks as though Tadpole has acquired the taste for knitting. Sorry could not resist the pun. She is so adorable. I miss my kids being babies, but not the sleepless nights though.

Posted by: Sue at July 26, 2006 07:43 PM

Your daughter looks like she has the "taste for knitting" pardon the pun but I could not resist. She is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.

Posted by: Sue at July 26, 2006 07:41 PM

Tadpole is adorable. Seeing her makes me want one. I love the blanket project you have coming up - very cool wave design.

Posted by: Julia at July 26, 2006 05:25 PM

Admit it... there's some yarn so lovely, you've wanted to do the same thing...

Posted by: Susan at July 26, 2006 04:30 PM

Wow, that pattern looks fantastic - and complex! What yarn are you planning to use? It's beautiful.

Posted by: anne at July 26, 2006 03:02 PM

The new project looks SO COOL! Is is going to be a blanket? Looks like it's based on a quilting pattern.

Posted by: Nicole at July 26, 2006 02:16 PM

Tadpole is so sweet and that graphic is a.m.a.z.i.n.g. I can not wait for the finished project!

Posted by: Sarah at July 26, 2006 01:47 PM

If she thinks that's good, just wait until she tastes cashmere.

Posted by: regina at July 26, 2006 10:01 AM

There are lots of ambitious (and, I might add, adorable) projects going on around here!!

Posted by: Vicki at July 26, 2006 09:39 AM

Future knitter, indeed!

Posted by: Aimee at July 26, 2006 04:10 AM

What a cutie! And she'll be even more help once she's really crawling! ;-)

Posted by: janna at July 25, 2006 11:58 PM

Tadpole's the cutest.

Posted by: sarkasmo at July 25, 2006 11:14 PM

mmmm....yarn is tasty!

Posted by: cari at July 25, 2006 10:20 PM

heee!!! Oh my - we could nearly have the same post except that I'm not a brilliant knit designer. :)

Lila is crawling all over the place. And sitting up. Watch out - little Tadpole will be into everything before you KNOW it. Lila has come along at lightning speed on crawling in the past WEEK!!

Tonight she was entertained by playing with a knit swatch I made with a long tail hanging off. So cute. I'll have to get a picture of her with it tomorrow. :)

yo Dude! That new pattern your waiting for yarn on is S U P A F U N K I E ! What is it going to be exactly? Did you design that pattern yourself? or did you pick it up from somewhere?

Posted by: jared at July 25, 2006 09:59 PM

that graphic is so cool looking.

Posted by: maryse at July 25, 2006 09:40 PM

Are you serious? You're kiding, right? Though I'd get in with that action. 'cept I got a project that wants to sit and one involving lots of paper and bubble wrap right now.

Posted by: valentina at July 25, 2006 08:47 PM

Oh my gosh, Kate, those squares are gorgeous! How cool is that? And how fun that you have a little helper. :)

Posted by: Jen at July 25, 2006 08:24 PM

cute baby!

Posted by: nat at July 25, 2006 08:15 PM

Tadpole is way cute....very fun watching her grow.

When my 15 yo was learning to crawl she would only practice when she was crawling towards a bottle of glass cleaner...interesting!

Posted by: Darci at July 25, 2006 07:21 PM

What an awesome graphic! I can't wait to see what you end up with.

Posted by: Laura at July 25, 2006 06:59 PM

Hooray for finished products and the taste of yarn!
