How time flies

Just a quick note to tell you that Tadpole and I have left on a trip to see friends and family. We're in Boston right now. We went and stayed with Julia and her lovely family for a day. Last night I was lucky enough to meet Kellee and Maryse at Circles, which is great and you should all go there and talk to Alison and spend lots of money. More details and photos later.

I love your blog site and am just now getting around to making the Clapotis Shawl. That is a beautiful pattern....thank you. I have "invested" in Estelle Italian Cashmere and I am so afraid of making a mistake. I even joined a Clapotis knit along on the web, but I still can't get a straight answer to my question. On the Sl stitches do you slip as if to knit or as if to purl and is the yarn in the front or the back...or does it really matter?
Thank you so much for any words of wisdom, and thanks for sharing the gorgeous pattern

Sincerely,
Linda

Alison helped me pick out my first project! (a hat... which turned out to be too large for any human head- haha... I cast on too many stitches)

Hope you enjoyed Boston!

I lived in Jamaica Plain!! It's such a fun place to be. Oh, how I miss Boston...Are you traveling to the "homeland?"

Ooooooh, yarrrrn...there are days I wish I was still in Boston.

I'm sorry I missed you before you left...naps and early, unplanned-for child arrival raged out of control :-(

Have fun, babes! Let me know when you're back home, okay?

Stop by Newbury Yarns on Newbury Street if you get a chance! Great little shop... saw some emerald boucle yarn there once but didn't buy it and I regret it to this day.

Have fun on your road trip with Tadpole! I wish I could jump in the car and drive to see my friends back home. When are they going to build that highway across the ocean?? :)
