Learning every day

Why aren't these stitches on these needles?

They should be.

Tadpole has learned how to knit... or act like it. Twice in the last two days, she's grabbed my needles and started hitting them together. In the process, my knitting usually comes off. She's so sweet to help her mom reach her deadline. Unfortunately, I was too slow with the camera. I'll have to try again next time.

Young'un shares the same fascination with my knitting. He's picking up other habits, too ... a few days ago I asked him to do something and he said, without looking up from the computer, "When I finish this row."

My double points have fallen prey to the toddler of the house.

why don't you give Tadpole an old swatch to play with? then you could take pictures for us....

My nearly 19 month olds does exactly the same thing.

Tee hee, that's funny.

My 19-month-old girlie did the exact same thing with a sock a couple of days ago while I was at work. Her daddy found her in the corner poking loose dpns into a tangled mass of yarn. I think it's so cute that she wants to knit, and luckily I was able to salvage the sock!

My friend's son has his own yarn and needles that he can play with when his mom is knitting. He calls it "Yarning." So cute I could just eat him up!

So far, my child (due at the end of August) gets involved only when I get lazy and rest an elbow on my belly. I get a bunch of little kicks to let me know I am encroaching on his/her space.

My 3 year old nephew did the same thing the last time he was over. It was pretty cute but it destroyed my knitting! Luckily, it was only a cotton dishcloth.

Oh they are so quick! If I tried to help at all my little girl would tell me she already knew how to knit, she can do it no help required! such treasures! Bless them!

How cute. Looks like she needs her own knitting. :)

Oh gosh, Lila Pearl has done the same thing and I couldn't get a picture of it - she's way too fast. And she's got an older sister to follow examples of what to do!! Oh yeah. She loves to sneak away with my knitting needles and whack on things with them like they're drum sticks! UGH! I cringe and go running every time I hear that sound.

That's adorable. My little brother once decided that the scarf I was making was his "Bat rope" (we were living in Gotham at the time, at least he was)
