1. Jenny and Nicole of Stash and Burn are what I listen to every Friday morning while I am knitting and working. They interviewed me and it's up. I didn't have any alcohol in the house but I still managed to listen to it. Just barely.
2. Spinning you haven't seen yet

3. Knitting you haven't seen yet

Winter is close, so the photo is dark.
4. I took a class with Fiona Ellis a couple of weeks ago. She was awesome and I had a blast.
5. If anyone calls me again to make an appointment with Doctor Schlepchick? Slapstick? Flapjack? Stepkickballchange? I am going to go ballistic. And no, Michael doesn't live here.
6. Tadpole is asleep and it's very very quiet in the house right now. I LOVE IT! I am going to close my computer, turn off the phone and finish a mitten. See ya.

You sounded great! Love the handspun and socks you're knitting with it. Love the barberpoling and subtle striping when knit up.

Leaves! Tell us about the leaves!
(I so covet your spinning, too)

ooooh pretty yarn... and that lovely leafy item - inquiring minds want to know - what is it?
When I lived in the women's dorm at University I was forever getting calls for:
a. A local library. (I don't have that many books)
b. A man looking for Jim. I had to assure the gentleman that I was certain that his son was not living in my incredibly tiny room as there was no place he could hide.

That grey/green leafy thing is just georgous! :)

I could tell that Jenny and Nicole have not knitted Cardigan for Arwen, or they would have mentioned your genius invention of two-sided cabling. I knitted a 2-year-old sized one (by being a tight knitter I was able to keep the row gauge in a sport weight yarn so the charts worked). Yes, the construction is wonderful, but those cables! Woot!
Incidentally, we have had our phone number for 16 years and people always call us to rent our apartment. Er, apartment?

That is gorgeous, gorgeous yarn that you spun. I love those colors. And it is knitting up so beautifully.

Oh Kate! Your spinning is beautiful! I love the way the colors came together! And yup, I want to know about the gray leafy goodness too!

I also love the leafy thing! Please tell us about it.

Oh, you tease! I want to investigate every knit piece in that dark(ish) photo of in progress knits.
I'm off to hear the podcast now :)

I love that fair-isle leafy pattern grey and green pattern. I am a sucker for knitting leaf patterns in green.

I heard the episode yesterday and I thought you did really well! I'm not just saying that.
I too love the grey and green thing.

What is that gray thing with the leaves?! I love it!
I think my cell phone number used to belong to someone in some eastern European organized crime. And my house phone was, for years, one digit off from the Holiday Inn, in Farmington, NM. I'm sorry, but NO ONE should need to make reservations for the Holiday Inn in Farmington at 3am. Ever.

Beautiful spinning! What's that leafy green thing going to be? I love the patterning.

My husband's had the same cell phone number for the past 3 years. From the moment he's had it, he's gotten calls for "Joey". Apparently, "Joey" had gotten a new cell phone number at the same time and proceeded to give the incorrect number to all of his friends. His friends call my husband. My husband gets frustrated. I laugh (because it's not happening to me)

We've had our phone number for nearly seven years and still get people calling looking for a pediatrician!
