I want to knit them too, but have done only the teensiest bit of color work - one hat to be exact. They are wonderful!!!

Posted by: Karen at December 6, 2007 04:32 PM

These are stunning. The bird...amazing. I can't wait to knit these up.

Posted by: Em at December 3, 2007 01:19 PM

They are absolutely wonderful! Of course, I am partial to all things 'bird':)

Posted by: Birdsong at December 3, 2007 11:10 AM

I believe, these are the prettiest mittens I have ever seen! I want to make them.

I should probably make a pair for my daughter as well, because one of her favourite places is a park, where birds will eat out of your hand, if you stand very still.

Thank you for that wonderful pattern!

Posted by: Ellen at December 3, 2007 01:11 AM

I LOVE these beauties!! The little bird is a darling touch and the pattern looks HARD! I've never done color knitting--so I'm SKEERED of it--but they're lovely to look at and one day, I SHALL do these!!

Posted by: Trudy at December 3, 2007 12:30 AM

Another brilliant pattern, Kate!! And a belated happy birthday to Tadpole!

Posted by: Shelagh at December 2, 2007 10:09 PM

Posted by: Anne-Caroline at December 2, 2007 07:31 PM

wow! they are so beautiful. it definitely required a double-take before i saw the bird surprise, because i was already smitten with the snowflake on the palm!

Posted by: Katie at December 2, 2007 02:25 PM

That bird is so cool!

(Tell me, were you ever tempted to design matching gloves and put the bird elsewhere? Just wondrin' ;-))

Posted by: Lee Ann at December 2, 2007 12:00 PM

Oh, Kate, they're BRILLIANT!

Posted by: Norma at December 2, 2007 11:36 AM

Too cute to pass up - bought and downloaded and printed out! I'm in a mittens phase, so these fill the bill -- heh-heh. They'll make a perfect gift for a birder friend.

Posted by: Karen K. at December 1, 2007 07:32 PM

These mittens bring me so much JOY! I'm smiling from ear to ear; they're just so SWEET!

Thanks for creating these; I haven't been so excited to make mittens ever before...

Posted by: kodachrome at December 1, 2007 12:29 PM

Being a mom and constantly needing my fingers free, I find that mittens aren't really practical for me. HOWEVER, I LOVE THESE!!! The flowers are so pretty and the little bird on the thumb makes them so unique!
