What do I care... I've got my handspun handknit socks to keep me warm
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Huh? Wha? Is it just me or is anyone else sleeping really badly and therefore constantly exhausted? I'm sitting in the café as I often do on Friday mornings (I LOOOOOOVE MY BABYSITTER) and I'm trying to convince myself to work but having a bit of difficulty. I could knit something for my cousin's soon-to-be-born or I could work on a sweater pattern that I want to get going on again. Instead, I'm imagining going home and going to bed to watch crappy tv. I don't have a tv in my bedroom, so that's not even possible. As long as I'm fantasizing, let's throw in a masseuse and a maid who will have the house sparkling when I am done with my nap. Enough rambling. SOCKS! HANDSPUN, HANDKNIT SOCKS! (Did that get your attention?)

The roving is from Julia and it made the softest, cushiest, loveliest yarn which makes the softest, smooshiest, yummiest socks. I knit them toe up at the same time to use up every last bit of yarn I could. I finished them at the opening of Ariadne (scroll down for a photo of my feet at the opening).

That got my attention! The socks are indeed beautiful, and the yarn alone was pretty, too!

Beautiful socks. And sleeping? No, I don't do that much these days. And what happened to last week? The week during which we were supposed to hang out? I suck.

It is all about arts! The spinning as well as the knitting. Beautiful!

Thoroughly inspiring. I keep thinking I need to spin "better" before I do something like this. You are fearless, and I need to adopt that.

Gorgeous!!!

Those are beautiful! And how fun to have made them all the way from the roving on up!
I completely agree with the sleepless and exhausted thing. Everyone I know is feeling that way, it seems. Must be something in the air. Or lack of daylight. The solstice is only 2 weeks away!

Love the handspun and socks! Is that Julia's BFL in the colorway "Cheerful"?

I'm the same with the sleeping. Last night I went to bed at 9:30 pm because I literally couldn't keep my eyes open, then woke up at 11:30 and C, who had just gone to bed, asked me what I was doing and I mumbled "morning stuff" until I realized that it was only 11:30, so I went back to bed, then woke up again at 4 am. I'm really tired and trying really hard NOT to go to sleep at 9 pm tonight.
