blaaaaaaaaaaaahg

I'm still around. I've gotten a couple worried emails (thank you) and I wanted to come assure you that I am still alive and kicking... wish I could say "alive and knitting" but there isn't much actual knitting going on here. There's a lot of thinking about knitting and talking about knitting and looking at knitting but not much knitting. And every time I think, "I should really post" or even get to the point of starting to write a post, someone emails or calls or a child needs tending to. And then 3 minutes/hours/days later I look at what I was writing and think, "Oh shut up. Who cares?!" I figure if I can't stand to read myself, nobody else can either, which is why I am going to type this and publish it without reading it again. Plus, I always like to have at least one photo in my post but that means finding the camera and the cord and my hard-drive is full so I'd have to take some old stuff off to put new stuff on. Tonight, I managed to find an older photo for you. I'll update with some newer stuff soon (I hope). I'm going to at least try to post photos if nothing else. Maybe this will be come a knitting photo blog.

Mohair on my cards

Or maybe that's not mohair... I don't even remember. See how often I spin?

Ah ok. It's good to know you're ok though.

Glad that you are back! Love the color of those mohair locks! I should get my wheel out now and do some spinning....it has been too long...about 2 weeks for me....tooooo long.

This is what I do ALL the time; your comment made me laugh out loud in sympathy! Very glad you posted this unchecked, not least because I now know that it's not just me who does this :-)

It's always good to hear from you even if the post is not particularly eventful. I'm sure your plate is, as usual, really full and as usual, I can't wait until you can reveal what they are!

Welcome back! I've largely moved to the all photo blog format. I can't quite believe tadpole's a toddler already!

Ain't it nice to be missed?

Glad to hear all is well. I haven't written as I figure you've got your hands full and I don't want to add to your list of things to do. How is that sweet Tadpole? I think of you both often. xo

I've been reading several of the blogs of women who were pregnant and have now delievered. Time warps for them. Of course all the 'old' mothers like myself knew it would, no matter how much we try to warn them. In a few cases I'm waiting to see the transformation that happens when adorable child goes from rolling over to crawling to Pulling up to RUNNING! The transition isn't night to day. There is no delicate blending of night into light. One day they are trying to stand and the next you're running after them trying to catch them before they are into something 'bad'. lol Enjoy it. Pretty soon you just have the pictures of 'were they really that little?' to look at as they physically tower over you and leave home. sigh.

Pretty mohair locks. From Rhinebeck? Glad all is well with you.

Life with toddlers! Sounds like you have got it right to me - while we love your blog, RL has to come first? Mind you, I hate days without knitting, as that is the only thing I do that is just because I want to...

Photos are good! And the colours in this post's photo are wonderful together. Very artistic. "3 minutes/hours/days" pretty much sums up life with kids, though I never would have been able to articulate it in that perfect way! Besides you have way too much snow still to be able to do much of anything but wish for spring.
