Camellia

is here even though spring is not here for me. Here's hoping that putting a springy pattern out there will encourage the ice and snow to melt before July. My version has two options for sleeves. I thought I would like the smaller, cap sleeve better, but I actually prefer the flutter one.

I really enjoyed using this yarn. I know many people are averse to cotton, but this stuff was really enjoyable to knit and I'm in love with the green I used, though my first instinct was to go orange or red. I'm glad I didn't go with my usual colors though and I can't wait to wear it, not that that will be happening any time soon due to the freezing temperatures. Is going on vacation primarily to get some use out of a knitted top insane?

Found your adorable pattern at my LYS in the Make it Modern booklet, and am inspired by this feminine warm-weather style -- I live near Atlanta, and alas, I don't get much wear out of woolens. And it's my first foray into lace! Woo-hoo!

A question: My copy of the pattern lists finished measurements. How much ease do you recommend in choosing a size? Thanks! -- Dana

going on vacation is always the most sane thing a person could do. and having lovely knit tops to pack for it is only a bonus. sweet top.

Very dainty and figure flattering. Nothing says spring like green. Even in Canada, although for us, WHITE appears to be a spring colour as well. LOL. Do you know, could this pattern be adapted to the knitting machine?

Lovely, I must say I am curious to see it with thte neckling open and untied.........does it still look just as good that way? I'm a V-neck kinda gal(due to my bustyness)

Lovely, Kate! Really, really pretty. Completely unseasonal, but I suppose it will indeed be spring for a day or two, sometime before summer comes.

The top is gorgeous! Your model too, by the way, seeing her so happy in her sweater makes me want to knit it right now!

No, it's not insane. hehe! REally, you owe it to Camellia to give her a warm vacation.
Being north of Kingston right now (that would be Canada, not Jamaica sadly), I can fully commiserate on the weather.

Beautiful top, lovely greeeeeeeeeeeeen.

Yay!!! It's here! I've been checking several times a week to see when the pattern would be posted. Now I just need to buy this one, the bird in hand one and put them in my "Must Do" file.

Kate is the best designer. This top is so pretty and comfortable to boot...
This green makes me yearn for sunshine and Sangria. Yum.

I LOVE the green. I'm glad you chose it. I think this would look really cute on me... I may have to drag the needles out and attempt it. :)
