OMG
Today, I am banished to work in the cafe since Tadpole's playschool was without a room and ended up at our place. I am of course sitting here knitting (poffertjes, if you're curious) in front of my computer and who walks up to me and says "That's a very rare profession! Congratulations!"? Man on Right from this wonderful morning. Thank goodness a friend of his came in soon after to distract him. I am without headphones or a friend to talk to.
I'll be posting to the twist blog soon with my poffertjes if you're curious.
And if your comment hasn't shown up for the last post I made (THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR WONDERFUL SUGGESTIONS!) it's because I have to approve them and weed out all of the spam. I will do it soon, I hope. and I hope to also make a list of the books in one place. One of these days...

This is a little late in coming, and maybe someone else mentioned it on your last post, but one of my favorite books as a girl was Three Strong Women which is a Japanese tale...there are many versions. Basically these three generations of women give a sumo wrestler what for, and the grannie is especially amazing. I always loved it b/c I am very close with my mom and Grandma, and Sophie definitely is getting a copy this year too.

Since the Man on Right was there and I went and read your old post, and since you're knitting a baby blanket, I've just gotta ask, are you...?
Just kidding. You just set it up too well.
(No, you don't know me, I'm just a regular reader and knitter of your patterns.)

Yay! You're back! MoR again? At least he didn't ask if you were pregnant or do the mime thing like MoL. Looking forward to your Twist post.

Glad to hear you're doing well Kate!
Hope to see you around!
Are you planning to go to either Roxham or Rhinebeck this year?

Ugh. I had someone on the subway ask me to teach her how to cast on and knit. She had yarn and needles in her bag. I'm happy to help, but when I'm on the subway and knitting away, I don't like to be disturbed.
Sorry you had to run into the Man on Right again.
